Cultural Incubator (I23-EN)

Description

The cultural incubator of members of the former Yugoslavia's ethnic communities is a project aimed at raising the involvement and employability of the target group in the field of culture. This process is often hindered by society - both in a discriminatory way and in disregard for basic human rights. The rhetoric, including the media used here, is often dismissive and even offensive to immigrants. The project wanted to help raise awareness of the positive importance of preserving, expressing and using cultural heritage, both on the part of creators and users, members of national communities and the majority nation.

The incubator is operated by PiNA – Cultural Education Society, Koper, Slovenia.
